Distillation courses through the history and the heart of the Bluegrass region. While our forefathers harvested corn to produce the whiskey known as bourbon, we started with grapes. Crushed and fermented into wine and then distilled to perfection in copper pot stills, our Saddlestone Distillery brandy pairs tradition with innovation for a Bluegrass spirit beyond bourbon.
The best spirits start with the highest quality ingredients, and the unique climate and rolling hills of the Bluegrass are perfect for growing the grapes for our exceptional wines. We select from the finest vintages of Equus Run Vineyards wines to produce the finest brandy around.
Our brandies are made from a variety of grape varietals, fermented in stainless steel tanks before being distilled twice in copper pot stills. The spirit is then aged in oak barrels, which impart a rich, complex flavor to the final product.
Each infused with the terroir of the Bluegrass region, we offer a range of brandies, each with its own distinct character and flavor profile.
Our latest offering is a line of premium agave spirits that are distilled using the finest blue agave plants sourced from the Jalisco region of Mexico. Our agave spirits are carefully crafted and aged to perfection to bring out the unique flavors and aromas that are characteristic of this spirit.
Our expert distiller carefully selects the ripest agave plants and uses time-honored techniques to extract the spirit. The result is a smooth and flavorful spirit that is perfect for sipping or mixing in your favorite cocktails. We age our spirits in oak barrels for just the right amount of time to achieve the perfect balance of flavors and aromas, which imparts a rich, smoky flavor that complements the natural sweetness of the agave.
